HBF Health Fit Fan Jamie Stewart does more exercise than most of us. He plays sports twice a week – indoor beach volleyball, mixed netball and bowls – plus regular runs and weight training, it’s fair to say he’s a pretty fit guy. What you’d never know, though, is that Jamie has Cystic Fibrosis – and seven years ago, he had a double lung transplant.

Jamie was just a couple of years old when he was diagnosed with the condition, which is a genetic disease affecting a number of organs in the body. In the months leading up to his lung transplant, Jamie wasn’t well enough to do any physical activity, so despite being in hospital for just a couple of weeks, it took him months of rehab to get his body ready for exercise again.

Now though, he’s a changed man – and since he’s started HBF Health Fit Fans, he’s got into the ‘healthy’ BMI range for the first time in his life! “I feel healthier than I’ve ever felt before,” says Jamie. “I needed a motivation to get into a decent exercise routine, which Fit Fans has given me, and I’m confident I’ll keep it up once the season is over!”
