With the break over and the AFL pre-season in full swing, it’s time to reflect on another fantastic year of the ‘Eagles Rock My School’ program presented by Hawaiian.

In another successful year, West Coast Eagle players and Community team conducted over 250 assembly visits or hands-on sessions and engaged with more than 38,000 students across Western Australia.

Every kids favourite mascot, Rick the Rock, and his new friend Rosie the Rock, joined the West Coast Eagles Community and Game Development team as well as current AFL and AFLW players, for a fun and interactive education program which delivers key messages to students, including striving to be your best, respecting others and wellbeing.

Our football clinics have been ever popular providing positive role models as well as giving students some helpful footy tips for their own football journeys. Who knows, we might uncover our next Eagles superstar at your school!

In addition to schools in the metropolitan area, the program also visited a number of regional towns including Bunbury, Albany, Port Hedland, Newman and Merredin.

The many smiles across the faces of participating students and teachers whilst delivering this program makes everything the team does worthwhile and demonstrates the positive impact we have on the community. From sports lovers to academics, this program is for everyone.

We would also like to thank our Eagles Rock My School program partner Hawaiian, whose generous support means that vast numbers of young Western Australians can access this program free of charge.

The program is wonderfully supported by Western Australian teachers, and we appreciate their efforts across the course of the year and hope to have them involved once again next year.
