Rick's Blog: Round Four, 2014
Looks like we are set for a cracker of a game against the Cats in Geelong
Who is excited for the game this weekend? Looks like we are set for a cracker of a game against the Cats in Geelong.
With captain Darren Glass and sharp-shooter Mark LeCras out with injury, it looks set to be a tough contest, but I’ve been getting our young players ready all week and I know they are excited to show their skills.
Did you know that this game will see Dean Cox reach 277 games? That’s a West Coast Eagles club record! He now takes over the title from my old friend Glen Jakovich and I think you'll all agree that’s a HUGE achievement.
I remember when Coxy first came to the club as a skinny little rookie player. But who am I kidding, Coxy was always tall! He showed plenty of talent from an early age, I always knew he’d be a star.
Speaking of talent, we’ve got the Rick’s Rookies Coaching Clinic on Monday and I CAN’T WAIT to see all my favourite junior members. I’m always impressed by all the skills on show.
I’ve even been practicing all my latest dance moves and I’m looking forward to showing them off.
I better go and help our injured players with their recovery, but I hope to hear you cheering loudly from home for the boys this Saturday at 5.30pm WST on 7mate.
Go Eagles!
