The Eagles took part in a relaxed training session ahead of today’s departure to Sydney to take on the Swans in Thursday’s NAB Challenge fixture.
With a healthy compliment of players on the park, including ruckman Nic Naitanui and defender Jacob Brennan, the Eagles looked sharp as they were put through their paces at Patersons Stadium.
The session consisted of some basic skill work, followed by some style of play exercises, with a strong focus on defensive structures and ball movement out of the defensive end of the ground.
Shannon Hurn latched onto a couple of his trademark 70-metre drop punts from the goal-square, finding his teammate’s chest on every occasion.
Midfielders Luke Shuey and Sharrod Wellingham continually found themselves at the foot of the contest, displaying clean hands and good decision making time and time again.
Darling and Kennedy continue to look to be as potent as ever running around the West Coast forward line and dominating packs with some strong contested marking and efficient goal kicking.
