West Coast fans go to great lengths to show their passion, none more so than member Kara Bavaro.
Kara’s determination to show her true colours on her wedding day earned her a Member of the Round title in 2014, and the avid fan is now in the running to win ‘Easy Wedding of the Year’.

“Kara has been a member of West Coast for 18 years. She is a very passionate supporter and never misses a home game,” Kara’s dad Terry wrote to the club.
“She married Nick (a Dockers supporter) on January 11 and Kara, along with the bridal party, donned their footy jumpers and had photos and video taken of them outside Patersons Stadium.
“We even have video of Kara taking a spekky over her husband in her bridal gown with the Eagles jumper over the top!”
The chance to take memorable photos was an opportunity to good to miss for the couple, who were not deterred by the searing heat of the hot summer day.
“We did question on the day if we should do it as it was 44 degrees on our wedding day and putting another layer of clothing on seemed a ridiculous thing to do!” Kara laughed.
“We knew if we didn't do it we would regret it; it was definitely a highlight of the day!”
The football theme did not end with photos at Patersons Stadium, with Kara admitting the whole day had a West Coast flavour.
“It was a bit of a theme in our wedding speeches by my dad, acknowledging that Nick supports the wrong team, and mother-in-law stating that her grandchildren will go for Fremantle,” Kara said.
“Unfortunately my dad had to walk up to speak to the FREO Dockers song... a compromise I made to have Eagle Rock as my father/daughter dance.
“The garter was attached to a football and kicked to the next lucky guy and our cake-toppers were also dressed in guernseys, while the boys wore footy cufflinks.”
