One of the absolute best and coolest parts of the new year is getting to meet all the new guys who join the team, and this year is no different!

We’ve said g’day to three players who’ve come in from other clubs, including Lewis Jetta. I can’t tell you how excited I was to meet Jetts, and as soon as we met I challenged him to a race. He’d run down the ground and I’d fly. He’s so fast that he’d crossed the finish line before I’d even started flapping my wings! I can’t wait to see him soar down the wing in 2016.

Jonathan Giles has also come in to the club and let me tell you, he’s BIG. My neck’s still a bit sore from having to look up to him. And then there’s Jack Redden – what a gun! He’s super tough and teams we play are going to be in for a world of trouble when they see our awesome midfield!

We also drafted some young guns into the team. Luke Partington and Matthew Allen have come across from South Australia, while Luke Cole and Kurt Mutimer have travelled all the way from Victoria. The boys a really excited to be joining the team – and why wouldn’t they? We’re the best there is!

Pre-season training is going along nicely, with everyone smiling and excited to be kicking the footy around again. It’s not long now until the season starts, so start counting the sleeps and I’ll be back next week to say g’day again.
