After returning from WA’s Goldfields for the fifth leg of their regional roadshow, Ross Glendinning and his Border Patrol crew are ready to hit the road to the south west of WA on July 30.
In a jam-packed Border Patrol trip that will be sure to delight all West Coast fans in the south west region, the former West Coast captain and Brownlow Medallist will be taking his crew to visit schools and communities in Collie, Bunbury and Busselton.
And to add to the excitement, Glendinning will be joined by West Coast Eagles 2006 premiership player Ashley Hansen. Hansen kicked two goals in the 2006 grand final, helping West Coast seal its nail-biting victory over the Sydney Swans for the club's third flag.
On Monday July 30, Glendinning, Hansen and the Border Patrol crew will be visiting Collie to see students at Allanson Primary School, Fairview Primary School, Wilson Park Primary School, Amaroo Primary School, St Brigid’s Primary School and Hope Christian School in Collie.
On Tuesday August 1, they hit the road to Bunbury visiting students at Adam Road PS, Bunbury PS, Picton PS, Grace Christian School, Carey Park PS and Cooinda PS. And on Tuesday night, Glendinning, Hansen and the Border Patrol crew will be hosting a sausage sizzle event open to the public at Bunbury Toyota from 4.30 until 6.30pm.
Wednesday August 2 will see the Glendinning and Hansen head to Busselton to pay a visit to the kids at Georgina Molloy, West Busselton PS, Geographe PS, St Joseph’s PS, Busselton PS and Vasse PS, before heading to Busselton Football Club for another sausage sizzle event for the public from 4.30 until 6.30pm.
And to wrap up the trip, on Thursday Glendinning, Hansen and the team have a busy day visiting Bunbury Cathedral Grammar, Ocean Forest, Dalyellup College, Djidi Djidi School, South Bunbury PS and Maidens Park PS.
