Tim Kelly is well known for his brilliance on the footy field but what fans may not know is his own unique heritage.

The 27 year old is a proud Yamitji and Noongar man who also has cultural links to the Wongi people of Leonora.

As part of NAIDOC week Eagles Media are profiling the club's first nations players and highlighting some of their unique customs they enjoy.

Kelly was outstanding against Richmond on Sunday, collecting 40 possessions and kicking two goals.

He will don the club's indigenous guernsey this week as part of NAIDOC celebrations when the Eagles take on Carlton this Sunday.
