The West Coast Eagles and long-time co-major partner Hungry Jack’s have teamed up again as the iconic restaurant chain expanded its commitment by partnering with the club’s AFLW team. The Eagles guernsey has been sporting the famous Hungry Jack’s logo in the team’s third season in AFLW.
Hungry Jack’s long history of support for the West Coast Eagles club spans five decades, including four men’s premiership seasons. The iconic local business was founded in WA by Jack Cowin, through his club partnership Jack shares his passion with other Eagles fans by giving away VIP box seats, the chance to meet players in store and thousands of free Whoppers every season. Hungry Jack’s passion for AFL extends to their support for the grass roots clubs and young player development through their sponsorship of the community liaison officer, the club’s WAFL team and the Perth Football Club.
This season Hungry Jack’s has committed to the squad’s AFLW team to support growth in women’s football in Western Australia and nationally.
West Coast Eagles Chief Executive Officer Trevor Nisbett says the club is thrilled that Hungry Jack’s has extended its partnership to the AFLW team. “Hungry Jack’s has been a wonderful partner to the club for such a long time and it is fantastic they’re supporting the women’s team as well now. It’s a great new initiative and we really appreciate the support of Jack Cowin and the whole team at Hungry Jack’s.”
Jack Cowin, Hungry Jack’s Founder, says “We’re proud to support the AFLW team, we see this as an important step in helping grow women’s sport. Hungry Jack’s employs over 22,500 Aussies and 50% of our team are women, we know the importance of creating a workplace that gives everyone equal opportunity to realise their career hopes and dreams. We hope our new women’s sporting partnerships will inspire Australian sport toward this goal.”
