The West Coast Eagles bolstered their AFLW coaching panel with the addition of experienced coach Martene Pearman as an assistant coach ahead of the 2023 season.

A former state women’s captain and Coastal Titans (now Subiaco) premiership captain/coach, Pearman boasts a wealth of experience in the game. She was part of Michelle Cowan’s AFLW coaching team at Fremantle in 2017-18, and has again linked up with West Coast’s Head of Women’s Football at Mineral Resources Park. Pearman has also been involved with Subiaco’s women’s, reserves and senior WAFL teams, and led the WA state academy. Pearman was named in the more specific role of backline coach ahead of the 2024 season.
