West Coast’s inaugural, and current, captain Emma Swanson is the most decorated Eagle in the AFLW competition. After an outstanding season seven, Swanson was named Club Champion for the second time in her career going back-to-back after winning the same award in the season prior. To add to her trophy cabinet, Swanson was also named Trademark Player and Club Champion Runner Up in previous seasons for West Coast. Prior to joining the inaugural side, the midfielder plied her trade with the GWS Giants for her first three years in the AFLW. The West Australian is also a three-time All-Australian squad member, a three-time Peel Thunder Best and Fairest winner and four-time East Fremantle Best and Fairest winner. Swanson was voted once again to lead the Eagles’ side in 2024, her sixth season as skipper.
