The youngster continued his development on a wing in 2024, playing 18 AFL games and kicking five goals in a challenging and often unrewarding role. A late-season stint at the WAFL Eagles gave Chesser the opportunity to work on his craft away from the spotlight and a 23-disposal effort against Perth showed he can find the footy. Having overcome injury woes to begin his career, Chesser has exhibited his line-breaking pace in glimpses after being a highly-rated junior athlete before he was drafted. Has a bright future ahead and could be looking for more inside midfield opportunities under new senior coach Andrew McQualter as he hones his craft and builds his confidence at the elite level.
