RAC DERBY 54
What’s On | Round 3
West Coast Eagles v Fremantle
Sunday, April 3 | 4.20pm (AWST) | Optus Stadium
Gates open 2.15pm
RAC Derby action returns for 2022 at Optus Stadium this Sunday, when we take on Fremantle from 4.20pm!
It promises to be a massive day of footy, so have a read of the below and make sure you’re across all the action.
Crowd Restrictions
As of Thursday, March 31, level one public health measures will be in place across Western Australia, allowing Optus Stadium to operate at 75 per cent patron capacity. These measures will be in place at least for our RAC Derby against Fremantle on Sunday, April 3.
All patrons, including children under five years of age, will require a ticket to enter the stadium. This applies to everyone, even small babies. To obtain a free ticket for a child under five, please visit the Gate A box office prior to the match. Please ensure you allow extra time for this, as you will still be required to queue and present proof of vaccination status once the ticket is obtained.
Get to Optus Stadium early
West Coast Eagles members are advised to plan their match day and aim to get to Optus Stadium early – allow plenty of time to enter the stadium. Gates open from 2.15pm
On arrival, be ready to do the following:
- Scan in
- Vaccination check
- Ticket scan
- Masks indoors
Where possible, members are advised to avoid bringing a bag to the match to ensure a smooth entry
Proof of Vaccination & Mask Wearing
Members are advised to download the Service WA app in advance, in order to present an approved form of proof of vaccination as required upon entry. Please note that if you do not have the Service WA app, you will need to present an acceptable form of ID along with your proof of vaccination (and anticipate longer queue times in this instance).

Mobile Ticketing
Tickets will be available for Reserved Seat members to download in the official West Coast Eagles App by Friday, April 1.
Avoid match day delays by downloading the official West Coast Eagles app and logging in to your West Coast Eagles account now, ahead of Sunday's match. We strongly recommend not to leave this until the last minute, in case you encounter problems, and to save your tickets to your phone wallet to ensure no delays.
Instructions on how to use mobile ticketing are available here, and instructions on how to forward your ticket to a family member or a friend are available here.
The West Coast Eagles Membership Services team will be available at the box offices B, C, and E from 2.30pm on Sunday to answer any questions; however, please arrive early if you think that you may require assistance with your tickets.
If you have any issues with your tickets, please attend the match and the Membership Services team will assist; there is no need to miss the match solely for this reason.
Seat Return Program
Can’t make it to the match? Our Seat Return Program is available for Sunday’s RAC Derby. If your seat successfully sells, you’ll receive a credit towards your 2023 membership renewal.
