West Coast Eagles fans will be able to show their support for their club and help the Cancer Council Western Australia by purchasing a special Dig Deep car flag.
The flags are the latest initiative in the West Coast Eagles fundraising efforts for the Cancer Council, which has seen them raise $217,955 through the sale of wristbands in the past two years.
The yellow flags are designed to hook onto the rear window of a car and feature the team logo, the Cancer Council logo and the Dig Deep slogan.
The flags are $5 and will be sold at the following outlets: ANZ, Herdsman Fresh, Medibank Private, Retravision, SGIO, Toyota WA, Video Ezy, Vodafone, the West Coast Eagles Team Store and the Cancer Council Subiaco store.
Volunteers will also be out in force selling the flags before the round 20 clash with Richmond at Subiaco Oval on Saturday, August 18, which is Dig Deep Day.
The aim is to sell 20,000 flags and raise $100,000.
All funds raised from the sale of the car flags will remain in Western Australia to help the Cancer Council continue its important work in patient services and support, vital cancer research and cancer education and prevention programs for our state.
Through their partnership with the Cancer Council Western Australia, the West Coast Eagles are part of the effort to reduce the burden of cancer in Western Australian community and are helping to improve the quality of life for people living with cancer and their families.
West Coast stars Chris Judd, Tyson Stenglein, Beau Waters, Dean Cox, Jaymie Graham, Matt Rosa and Andrew Embley will help launch the new car flags tomorrow afternoon at Subiaco Oval. Perth school kids, including a young cancer survivor, will be part of this launch.
