Despite facing an intense few weeks ahead, lining up against Collingwood, Hawthorn and then straight in to the 2012 Toyota AFL Finals Series, the West Coast Eagles still managed to take some time away from footy this week and make a special visit to very brave kids.

Mark Nicoski, Matt Rosa, Scott Selwood and Chris Masten headed down to Princess Margaret Hospital to pay a visit to young patients ahead of Saturday night’s clash with the Pies.

Armed with West Coast Eagles goodie bags, the players spent the afternoon in the PMH Megazone signing autographs, taking photos and spending time with the youngsters.

West Coast’s PMH player ambassadors Mark Nicoski and Matt Rosa agreed that the visits always leave a big impression on both the kids and the players.

“These kids are always so happy and positive, it definitely has a big impact on me and the rest of the players,” Nicoski said.

“Not only is it a treat for the kids, but it’s also a great experience for us as players. Seeing how these kids deal with the things they are forced to go through, it really puts things in to perspective.”
