Eagles rock Marri Grove
The Eagles' community team were back in action on Friday, rocking Marri Grove Primary School
The club's community engagement co-ordinator James Grabski was joined by crowd favourite Rick the Rock Eagle as the pair delivered a variety of positive messages about healthy choices and positive decisions.
The students were involved in a variety of activities such as trivia, role plays and cheering exercises on a sunny morning in the city’s south east.
“The students were really engaged,” Grabski said.
“It’s great to get a little further out of the city and visit some of our biggest fans.”
The ‘Eagles Rock My School’ program visits over 250 schools each year, is proudly supported by Principal Community Partner BHP Billiton, and is a joint effort to help develop education through sport.
The program reaches more than 50,000 students and their teachers annually, and communicates many positive messages through Australia’s favourite game: football.
