Football training in isolation has its challenges, but with a little ingenuity you can still sharpen up your skills.
And in a four-part series of skill development videos – instructed by West Coast’s AFLW coach Luke Dwyer and head of female football Adam Selwood – eager players can test their skills with a range of fun and challenging drills.
Regardless of what level you play at, making good decisions and pinpointing targets by foot makes the game a lot more enjoyable.
“The key to building a strong kick is to focus on the correct teaching elements which allows for clean execution to be made in any area on the ground,” Selwood said.
“I am sure players will appreciate the progressive build we have made within our videos and will enjoy the challenging nature of staying accountable towards making every kick count.”
The fourth and final instalment in our video series presents eight kicking drills that are sure to sharpen your ball use by foot.
The West Coast Eagles would like to thank its Female Academy partners BHP, Barminco, Edith Cowan University, Ballpoint Construction Group and the Town of Victoria Park for supporting its online skills seminars.
