West Coast players pushing for round one selection will get a final chance to impress when the Eagles take on North Melbourne in the AAMI Community Series in Bunbury on Saturday.

A 26-man squad has been named for the Hands Oval tune-up, ahead of the season-opener against Gold Coast on March 16 at Optus Stadium.

Big man Matt Flynn is a welcome addition after a back complaint kept him out of last Saturday’s intraclub and he is set to lead the ruck.

Liam Duggan will skipper the team, while co-captain Oscar Allen is unavailable due to a family wedding.

Exciting youngster Archer Reid has been named at full-forward in Allen’s place and will provide a marking target alongside All-Australian star Jake Waterman.

Jeremy McGovern and Harley Reid are also ready to go after impressing in three quarters of the intraclub before being managed alongside Waterman.

The squad features five new faces who have joined the club since last season, with recruits Liam Baker, Jack Graham and Matt Owies named alongside draftees Bo Allan and Lucca Grego.

Young gun Elijah Hewett wasn't selected after being managed at training this week for general soreness.

The Bunbury pre-season match is a highlight of the Eagles’ Community Camp, which kicked off on Friday with visits to South West region schools and community centres.

The clash against the Kangaroos is a sell out, with bouncedown at 3.10pm.

It will be the first time since a pre-season clash against Adelaide in 1991 that the Eagles have played a match at Hands Oval.

Saturday’s match will be broadcast live on Fox Footy and streamed via Kayo.
