It’s safe to say that our round 12 Member of the Round, Madison Williams, loves the West Coast Eagles.
Since receiving a West Coast Eagles membership on her 16th birthday in 2015, Madison’s love and devotion for the club has grown even more.
“I only wish I got my membership when I was younger, as I’ve been a fan since before I could walk!”
“I check the club website all the time to see what’s happening at the club, and I love keeping up to date with Eagle Vision and club emails,” Madison said.
Based north of Geraldton, and with a four hour drive to West Coast Eagles matches, Madison loves watching her team from afar, but gets to as many matches as she can.
“I go to home games whenever I get the chance to save up money for my Dad and I to score tickets,” Madison said.
A budding footballer, Madison’s goal is to one day be able pull on the West Coast Eagles jumper herself.
“Although girls get told they don’t play footy, I hope to one day play AFL like the West Coast Eagles and prove those people wrong,” she said.
Like many of our most devoted fans, Madison’s only gripe is that the footy season doesn’t run for long enough.
“Life’s boring when the season’s not on. I just wish it went all year.”
As our round 12 Member of the Round, Madison was able to be on the ground when her favourite team ran out to take on the Adelaide Crows. Was there any advice for the boys?
“Go the Eagles!”
