Josh Kennedy has always been a prolific goal-kicker and one of the best forwards in the competition, but in 2015 he stamped himself as undoubtedly the game’s most potent power forward. Not only is he a wonderful mark, quick off the lead and a true shot for goal, he is also one of the best in the business for forward pressure, a remarkable feat considering he is 196cm tall.
Kennedy booted 80 goals in 2015, easily claiming his first Coleman Medal, but he also had career highs in disposals and marks inside 50. In fact, in 2015 Kennedy led the league in marks inside 50, while finishing fourth for total marks and ninth for contested marks.

Three matches to remember:
Round 2 v Carlton
Kennedy was unstoppable in round two against the hapless Blues. Supply was great from the midfield and Kennedy took full advantage, booting his third career 10-goal haul. Along the way he gathered 15 disposals and raked in nine marks as well as the three Brownlow votes.
Round 9 v Cats
Most will remember the Geelong game for Nic Naitanui’s mark of the year, but did anyone notice the bloke kicking it to him? It was none other than Josh Kennedy. Kennedy was sensational against the Cats working up the ground to gather 20 disposals and pull down 11 marks. He also booted six goals and earned two Brownlow votes.
Round 21 v Western Bulldogs
A top-four clash against the Doggies and the Eagles needed their leaders to stand up, and Kennedy, along with Matt Priddis, did just that. Kennedy sunk his teeth into the Doggies booting seven goals to lead the team to a 77-point victory. He also gathered 21 possessions, took 14 marks, laid three tackles and, you guessed it, earned three Brownlow votes.
