Season 2015 was officially launched this morning, with the West Coast Eagles holding a breakfast function to kick off the club’s upcoming campaign.
With more than 1000 guests in attendance, the event was an important opportunity for the club to officially welcome the eight new recruits who were drafted over the off-season.
Each new Eagle was presented with his guernsey by a past player as part of a special tradition that began in 2010.

Proceedings continued with an address from chairman Alan Cransberg, senior coach Adam Simpson and new captain Shannon Hurn, all providing a rare insight into the club’s direction for the 2015 season, both on and off the field.
AFL commissioner and managing director of Wesfarmers Richard Goyder also took to the stage, sharing his thoughts on the challenges faced by our great game in the coming years and beyond in a fascinating interview with MC Mark Readings.
However, it was Australian Formula 1 driver Daniel Ricciardo who stole the show after it was revealed that he would hold the prestigious position of No.1 ticket-holder for the next two seasons.
Although the Duncraig local was unable to accept the honour in person, he expressed his appreciation and excitement at the season ahead.
As guests tucked into a gourmet hot breakfast, they were treated to an exclusive sneak preview of the club’s latest television commercial, which will be screened on Foxtel and GWN from March 23.
