What a way to end the home and away season! Next stop… finals
What’s happening, Rock-Blogger buddies?
Well that was a quiet weekend wasn’t it? Haha, I’m just kidding. That was an AWESOME weekend. What a game by the boys on Friday night. I’ve been watching them play footy for a long time, and I honestly can’t remember being so proud of the team than I was on Friday. It was such a good win.
Did you watch the match? I bet you were jumping up and down just like me. You might have even been giving people high fives and bear hugs too, just like me! Wherever you looked on the ground, we had heroes dressed in blue and gold. JK kicked another five goals, and he’s won his second Coleman Medal. It’s a big reward for a super-nice guy who puts in an absolute mountain of hard work. Well done, Josh!
There’s a really old saying that you might have heard your parents or grandparents say. It goes “Cometh the hour, cometh the man”. It means that when the time is right, someone will stand up and do amazing things. Well, after Friday, we can change the saying to “Cometh than hour, cometh the man mountain”. Well done to my good mate Jonathan Giles, who stepped into Nic Nat’s big boots and played the game of his life.
Anyway – we’ve got a week off before we play the Bulldogs in our first final. Finals are always a super-tough task, but I think we’ll be good enough to knock over the Doggies and go through to the second week of finals.
Enjoy your week off from footy. Maybe while the boys are training for the match, you could do the same? They can practice their footy skills and you can practice your cheering.
Let’s start now with a massive “Go Eagles” cheer.
1… 2… 3… “GO EAGLES”.
You rule. See you next week!
Rick the Rock, over and out.
