Over the course of his career Andrew Gaff has built a reputation around his consistency.
And in 2019 he has maintained his reputation by again ensuring a small gap between his best and his worst.
Against Hawthorn he was prominent from start to finish, accumulating 13 possessions in the first quarter on the way a 37-disposal effort where his work rate was relentless.
His numbers were solid in e very respect, with 12 contested possessions and seven clearances and gaining strong ground from his touches, his 526 metres bettered only by Lewis Jetta’s 536 metres.
Such has been Gaff’s season that must again be on the short list for all-Australian honours which should be confirmed when the initial 40-man squad is announced tomorrow.
