The West Coast Eagles have added some height for Sunday’s matchup with Narrm Football Club at Mineral Resources Park, recalling ruck Sarah Lakay and key forward Amy Franklin.
The Eagles were bested by Greater Western Sydney last round in a disappointing 20-point defeat, resulting in the coaching staff making multiple moves ahead of what will be a challenging battle against the top-four placed Demons.
Dominant ruck Lakay has been recalled to the team, following multiple weeks on the sidelines recovering from a back injury, and will be an important presence for her team.
First-year Eagle Amy Franklin has worked her way back into the line-up, with her versatility of being able to play both ends of the field making her a handy inclusion against a tough opposition.
Defender Jess Sedunary and teenage midfielder Emily Elkington have also been recalled to the extended interchange bench, and if named in the final 21, will insert both experience and youth around the ground for the Eagles.
Sasha Goranova comes out of the squad after suffering a devastating season-ending ACL injury last round, while Mikayla Western has been omitted.
The final team of 21 players will be confirmed at 2pm AWST on Friday.
