After a slow start to the senior game the Eagles dominated after quarter time and ran out convincing winners. In slippery conditions under the lights at the new North Dalton Park it was the better skills of the Eagles that were the difference between the two sides. Both sides endeavour and hardness for the football was evenly matched but it was the Eagles polish and finish which led to the victory.
The Eagles were led superbly by Captain Jon Vlatco who picked up possessions at will and used these possessions with precision. Ryan Smyth and Ryan Fitton continued there good form and were also instrumental in the win. Rod Frost had his best contribution for the season and finished the night with 5 goals. Final scores were East Coast 17 15 117 to Wollongong 7 9 51.

To come away with the four points in Wollongong is always a tough task but the Eagles showed that they are capable of good thins in 2007.It was a decisive 4 goal to none third quarter that proved the difference.
