West Coast Eagles midfielder Tim Kelly will challenge a one-match suspension offered for Rough Conduct on Adelaide’s Sam Berry during Sunday’s match at Optus Stadium.
Kelly was cited by the Match Review Officer for a dangerous tackle during the third quarter.
The incident was graded as Careless Conduct, Medium Impact and High Contact, resulting in a one-match ban for a first offence.
But Kelly will challenge the sanction at the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday afternoon.
If he is successful overturning the ban Kelly would be available for Saturday night's RAC Derby.
