The West Coast Eagles have made two forced changes to the list ahead of Sunday’s round six clash with Collingwood, with Amber Ward (finger) and Sophie McDonald (concussion) both unavailable due to injury.
The loss of two key defenders has seen Courtney Guard return to the team, with classy ball user Charlie Thomas and Hayley Bullas both moved to the half-back line.
This leaves an opening in the midfield for versatile forward Kellie Gibson, who will join the Eagles’ engine room alongside Emma Swanson Dana Hooker and Bella Lewis.
On the outside, Irish speedster Niamh Kelly is joined by running machine Mikayla Bowen to give the team some pace on the wing, while Parris Laurie will bring some experience into the ruck.
In West Coast’s offensive 50, Andrea Gilmore has been omitted, with Sarah Lakay shifted to a deep forward position to give the team some height.
One-gamer Courtney Rowley also makes her return to the side alongside crafty Imahra Cameron, with Eagles’ leading goal scorer Aimee Schmidt bringing leadership to the forward line.
With three changes in the team coming from key position players, West Coast has mixed up all three lines ahead of the Collingwood clash, as the team looks towards their second win of the season.
