The West Coast Eagles recently held the final junior member event of the year, with an exclusive AFLW open training session taking place at Mineral Resources Park.

Junior members and their parents gathered around the oval to watch the AFLW squad train as they prepared to take on the 2022 NAB AFL Women’s Competition.

The children enjoyed free face painting and a bouncy castle, while Rick the Rock was up to his usual mischief as he entertained the junior members.

The highlight of the morning undoubtedly came towards the end of the event, when the full AFLW squad and first-to-fourth year AFL players gathered at the fence line to greet the eager juniors after finishing training.

Children and parents alike were excited to meet their favourite footballers and the club’s emerging talent, as the players took the time to sign autographs and pose for selfies with their fans.

The West Coast Eagles would like to thank the junior members and parents who came along to the Junior Member End of Year Event. We look forward to sharing the 2022 season with you!
