Eagles Cup is Western Australia’s premier Primary inter-school competition for Year Four to Six students. The competition uses special modified rules to allow for maximum participation, enjoyment and skill development, where the emphasis is on playing for fun in a social school environment.
The competition involves schools combining with other schools of similar size and in close proximity to each other to conduct interschool matches. These groups then become divisions within each of the metropolitan WAFL districts and compete against each other on a weekly basis in a round-robin competition.
The winning teams within each WAFL region are rewarded for their success with an Eagles Cup Trophy. This prestigious award is presented to the school by a West Coast Eagles player during a school assembly.
The popularity of Eagles Cup is evidenced by the 6,500 primary school students representing 260 primary schools who competed last year, across every region of Western Australia.
The West Coast Eagles are proud to support the West Australian Football Commission to offer Eagles Cup free to all schools in WA.
