Barnett doubled his AFL games tally appearing in round two against the Giants before spending the remainder of 2024 continuing his development in 15 matches for the WAFL Eagles. The West Adelaide big man was rated the best ruck in the 2022 NAB AFL Draft and the Eagles were delighted to swoop on him with pick 23 in the national player ballot. Barnett is capable of taking a mark inside 50, impacting around the ground and possesses the running ability to compete with some of the most athletic rucks in the game.
