The Eagles recruited Next Generation Academy product Jordyn Baker as a category B rookie in 2022. Baker is an athletic wingman with solid skills, averaging 16 disposals and three marks for Western Australia in three national U18s championships matches. Baker impressed at Colts level for East Perth, averaging more than 20 disposals and almost five tackles a game from 14 appearances in the 2022 season. After a delayed start to 2023, Baker spent the year playing for the Eagles’ WAFL side, developing his craft and spending most of his time coming off half-back.
