The West Coast Naitanui Academy product is a natural and classy forward who has been compared to All-Australian and premiership Eagle Liam Ryan. The speedster ran a quick 3.01 seconds in the 20m sprint at the national draft combine, confirming his raw pace, and was a standout in WA’s clash with South Australia in the under-18 championships when he snagged two goals from 13 disposals. Dewar averaged 11.8 disposals and kicked 15 goals from 14 appearances for Subiaco’s Colts team in 2022, and the Goldfields product has some exciting traits which the category B rookie could transfer to the top level.

Like Tyrell Dewar, the Eagles were able to add Naitanui Academy (Next Generation Academy) product Jordyn Baker as a category B rookie. An athletic wingman with good skills, the 18-year-old averaged 16.3 disposals and 3.3 marks for WA in three national under-18s championships matches. He also impressed at Colts level for East Perth, returning better than 20 disposals per game but his defensive pressure was a also a highlight with Baker laying nearly five tackles a match across 14 appearances this year. The talented youngster is quick and will have the opportunity to develop on the Eagles list in 2023.
