West Coast is set to host a Saturday night blockbuster against Melbourne in round 21 after the latest fixture release from the AFL.

The Eagles, who will enter quarantine after returning from facing Collingwood at the MCG on Saturday, will take on the Demons at Optus Stadium at 5.40pm local time on Saturday, August 7.

The game will be broadcast nationally by Channel Seven, with the result set to impact the finals race.

Melbourne is currently third on the ladder, just two points adrift of the Bulldogs in top spot, while the Eagles enter round 19 holding onto seventh position with a two-game buffer inside the eight.

West Coast has won the past four meetings with the Dees, including three at Optus Stadium, stretching back to the 66-point triumph in the 2018 preliminary final.
