Hi

I have attached a photo that we now cherish amongst others we have been lucky enough to have taken over the years.  This one was taken after the game in Melbourne for the Richmond clash.

My husband John and I travelled over from Perth for the game, eager to see our boys do well. It is always great to see the number of eagle’s supporters who travel for the game, sometimes it seems half of the population in the city those weekends is West Australian eagles supporters.

Although the boys were not able to win this game and would have been disappointed, they were still happy to spend some time talking to us after the game and letting us take some photos. We would have understood if they had not wanted to be bothered with some starry eyed supporters but really appreciate them taking the time and wanted to thank them all for this.  This type of thing always makes long time supporters feel good and that the loyalty and patience we have is noticed by the team. We have experienced a lot of success and elation with this club and can easily support them through tough times.

We have been long time Lynchy fans from West Perth to our beloved Eagles and we just love the way he gives his all on the field, plays with his heart on his sleeve and seems to relish the different challenges asked of him. We also really love watching Selly (and now his little brother “Scott terrier”), he always plays with absolute courage, can smother some of his “better known” opponents and will hopefully want to remain an eagle for life.

We were also lucky enough to speak to Lecca (another great West Perth recruit and of the most skilful in the team), Priddis and even Glassy and Woosha gave us a wave.  What was terrific was the optimism of these guys, believing they are on the right track and things would start to improve and go right for them.  We too as supporters have a belief that the team is on the right track with some really exciting youngsters (Kennedy, Brown, Swift, Ebert - so many good signs) showing a lot in the last few weeks, and we know that Woosh will bring this team up and experiencing success.

Once again we thank them all for taking the time with us in Melbourne and wish them all an exciting few seasons ahead.
