What it means for the Eagles: West Coast can keep its top four dreams alive with a win over North Melbourne tonight. If the Eagles register a win against the Roos, they could snatch a coveted double chance if Richmond succumb to Adelaide or Geelong slips up against Sydney. The stat: Josh Kennedy will be chasing his third consecutive haul of seven goals against North Melbourne when he takes to Metricon Stadium tonight. West Coast’s marquee forward has bagged seven of the best in his past two outings against the Roos (Round 1, 2017 and Round 19, 2019).

The match-up: Dom Sheed v Jed Anderson

This week’s key match-up pits West Coast’s Kalgoorlie kid against North Melbourne’s hero of the Katherine. Sheed, who returns after missing last week’s thrilling win over St Kilda, will be eager to build some momentum ahead of a finals push, and what better way to do that than going toe-to-toe with the Kangaroos’ ball magnet, Anderson? Both players thrive on winning contested possessions – Sheed averages 9.8 hard ball gets per game to Anderson’s 9.57 – and they will no doubt clash in the centre of the ground this evening. If Sheed wins the Sherrin more than Anderson he could very well help the Eagles skip past the Roos.

By taking the field tonight, Foley remarkably becomes the final player of West Coast’s 2018 AFL Draft class to don the club's revered wings, following on from Xavier O’Neill, Bailey Williams, Jarrod Cameron, Harry Edwards and Josh Smith.
