Rock-blogger buddies, what’s up?
I don’t know about you, but I’m still flying high from yesterday’s big win over Freo. Wow, what a game. So good to get back to the winner’s circle, and how awesome was it to see our skipper, Shannon Hurn, play such a massive game? He was everywhere!
In fact, we had big players all over the ground. My mate Liam Duggan had probably the best game he’s ever had in the blue and gold, and at the other end of the ground, everybody’s favourite player, JK, was back slotting the ball through the two big sticks like he always does.
We’re off back to Melbourne this weekend to take on Collingwood, and I don’t know about you, but I’ve got a feeling that we’re going to be singing our team song loud and clear by the end of the game.
Now, before I go anywhere, I thought I’d better give a big, massive THANK YOU to all of my little Rick’s Rookies buddies who attended my training day last Tuesday. My wings are still so sore from all the flapping and high-fiving that I was doing, but I’ll never complain.
My week is made so much happier when I see you having fun and dressed in your blue and gold. I was chatting to Simmo afterwards and he mentioned that the players love seeing so many smiling faces in the crowd, it really helps the team get ready for their games.
We took a heap of photos on the day, so click here and see if you can see a happy snap of yourself!
We’ve still got one event left this year, and that’ll be my birthday in the December school holidays. If you think you’ve got a friend who’ll want to come along, there’s still time for them to sign up as a Rick’s Rookies member.
Anyway, I’ve got to fly. I’m heading out on a school visit tomorrow, so I’ve got to practice my push-ups.
Rick the Rock, over and out!
