The season that Liam Duggan is piecing together could be tagged 'break-out’, as remarkable as that might sound given he’s 99 games into his career and is a premiership player.
Duggan, recruited to the club as a midfielder after a stellar under-age career, re-visited his formative years after half-time against the Bulldogs.
With experienced midfielder Mark Hutchings ruled out just before half-time through a hamstring strain, Duggan, who had already been in good touch across half-back, continued his strong influence when thrown into the engine room.
He finished the game with 12 kicks, six handballs and six marks in another polished display and might need to get more used to playing in the middle.
With Luke Shuey (hamstring), Elliot Yeo (groin) and now Hutchings all unavailable, there will need be an element of adaptability in the coming weeks.
