Following Sunday’s exciting win against Collingwood, the West Coast Eagles will take on their old rivals Geelong at Optus Stadium this Saturday, August 1 at 6.10pm.
As the State Government’s Phase 4 easing of COVID-19 restrictions is still in place, Optus Stadium will remain a 50% capacity crowd, or 30,000 persons, for this match
To facilitate a crowd with this reduced capacity, the club will again run a ticket booking and allocation process for eligible members via Ticketmaster. This process remains unchanged from the round 8 arrangements.
There will be two member booking windows as a part of this process, as per below:
• Window 1: PLEDGE – From 9am Wednesday, July 29 until 10am Thursday, July 30 (exclusive period concludes when Window 2 opens)
• Window 2: CREDIT – From 1pm Wednesday, July 29 until 10am Thursday, July 30.
General public tickets will be available from 2pm on Thursday, July 30. In The Wings and other non-access members will need to attempt their purchase at this time.
Eligible members will receive an email from the club with more information on Tuesday, July 28.
Important match and ticket information:
• It is vital that you carefully read the very strict Optus Stadium conditions of entry prior to booking: https://optusstadium.com.au/legal/conditions-of-entry
• By registering, you acknowledge that, even with rigorous capacity and control measures in place at AFL matches, there remains an unquantifiable risk of transmission of viral illness including COVID-19 at an AFL match at this time and you have considered that risk and your own personal circumstances, including any health condition or vulnerability that you may have or that of persons whom you will be in close contact with following your attendance at an AFL match. You acknowledge that, for a small number of people, COVID-19 has very serious health consequences. By attending an AFL match, you (and any persons who attend the match with you) acknowledge and accept these obvious risks.
• Given the limited number of tickets available, please carefully consider your ability to attend before booking your ticket(s). You will have the ability to forward your tickets (using the Ticketmaster app) if you are unable to personally attend. Take note that by booking tickets, this will be considered a match entitlement used, and you will not receive credit for this match.
• There is no ability to request specific seating; as a part of this registration process, tickets will be allocated randomly across the entire stadium, and there will be no ability to change seats once allocated. It is highly unlikely you will be assigned a seat in the same category or general area as your normal reserved seating. We acknowledge that this is not ideal, however, it is the fairest and most functional solution when working within the reduced capacity and distancing requirements.
• Due to the strict capacity guidelines, all patrons, including children under 5, will require a ticket to enter the stadium. This applies to everyone, even small babies. To book a ticket for your child, you will need to use an eligible barcode.
• To avoid entry delays, no bulky items or bags larger than A4 in size will be permitted into Optus Stadium. Cloaking services will not be available.
• Members with accessible seating can contact Ticketmaster's Accessible Seating service by emailing accessibletickets@ticketmaster.com.au, and including the following in the email: • Name • Phone number • Email address • Member barcode(s) (found in the email sent on Friday afternoon to all eligible members) • Detail of accessible need (i.e. wheelchair/easy access etc)• Companion card number (if applicable)
