West Coast will look to return to their winning ways when they take on Swan Districts at Steel Blue Oval on Saturday.
Following back-to-back losses at the hands of South Fremantle and East Perth, the Eagles will be looking for a crucial win against a formidable Swans line-up.
West Coast currently sit seventh on the ladder with a 2-4 record, and a percentage of 75.5 per cent.
Swan Districts have had a tough start to the season, recording just one win from their first six games.
However, the Swans still boast a respectable percentage of 97.8, which demonstrates their competitiveness throughout the season.
In fact, their biggest defeat to date was an 18-point loss to reigning premiers Subiaco in round five and their average losing margin for the season is just 10.6 points.
New recruit George Hampson has been a shining light for the Swans this season, averaging 23 disposals a game, while Leigh Kohlmann has proven to be a prominent target up forward with nine goals for the season.
West Coast’s depth is sure to be tested on Saturday, with several key players expected to miss through a mix of AFL selection and injury.
The Eagles will announce its AFL team at 4.20pm today.
Saturday’s matchup is a critical one for the Eagles, who currently sit a game and percentage outside the top five.
Bouncedown is at 2.15pm at Steel Blue Oval.
