Ross Glendinning and his Border Patrol crew have returned home from the first leg of the club’s regional roadshow, and are keen to do it all again next week.
As West Coast’s inaugural captain and former Brownlow medallist, Glendinning hit the road last week to WA’s south for West Coast’s latest community program, Border Patrol.
The brand new program, proudly supported by Toyota WA, will see the West Coast Eagles take football right across the state, visiting communities all the way from Albany to Broome.
With the first leg taking place last week, Glendinning along with West Coast and Toyota staff, visited schools and communities in Albany, Manjimup, Katanning and Narrogin.
And Glendinning and his crew couldn’t have been better received, with the locals in Albany ecstatic with the visit.
“What a hit, to watch the expression of literally hundreds of school kids at our BBQ function really was priceless,” said Albany Toyota Dealer Principal, Max Loveridge.

Glendinning and the Border Patrol crew will hit the road again next week for their second regional trip.
“For our second Border Patrol leg, we’re visiting towns in the Kimberley,” Glendinning said.
“We’ll be visiting Kununurra, Halls Creek, Fitzroy Crossing, Derby and Broome, with barbeque events at the Broome Bulls Football Club and Halls Creek Football Club. We’d love for everyone in these local communities to come along for a barbeque with the Border Patrol crew.”
Ross Glendinning and Border Patrol will be at the following locations for barbeques and a meet-and-greet with the community next week:
Monday, May 21: Broome Bulls FC, 4.00pm - 6.00pm
Wednesday, May 23: Halls Creek FC, 4.30 - 6.30pm
