The West Coast Eagles is proud to support the annual Chris Mainwaring tribute match for the third year in a row.
With the inaugural match raising close to $150,000 for Mainy’s favourite charity, Telethon, the second match last year contributed another $95,000 with over 33,000 fans flocking to Subiaco Oval to watch past AFL greats do battle for a wonderful cause.
West Coast’s OWLS team (Older, Wiser, Larger, Slower) made up of former Eagles will again pull on the boots to honour the memory of their teammate and friend, Chris Mainwaring, and raise important funds for Channel 7’s Telethon.
So far, the line-up includes West Coast legends Dean Kemp, Michael Brennan, Brett Heady, Dwayne Lamb and Don Pyke.
To top it off, a well-loved Australian band will also perform a special concert pre-game for the Subiaco crowd.
Make sure you’re down at Subiaco Oval on Saturday, October 2 for this twilight match at WA’s home of football, with bounce-down set for 6.40pm.
Always a wonderful night out for the family, tickets for this event will be available from Ticketmaster on Thursday at 9am, with all proceeds raised going to help sick kids in WA. Adult tickets are priced at $12.50, tickets for kids under 16 are $9 and admission for children under six is free.
