Australia’s TV and sporting stars are lining up to take part in the Toyota Chris Mainwaring Legends Match for Telethon.

The West Coast OWLS (Older, Wiser, Larger, Slower) have some very impressive stars on their side, including Channel Seven anchorman Rick Arden, boxer Danny Green and Amazing Race contender Samantha Schoers.

This is the first time a female has put her hand up to take part in the charity match, and judging by her impressive efforts in the Amazing Race, she’ll be giving the boys a run for their money on match day.

The team of Collingwood stars includes Australian comedian Peter Rowsthorne, who played the lovable Brett in ABC’s Kath & Kim series, as well as actor George Houvardas from Channel Seven’s Packed To The Rafters.

Houvardas will be lining up against his former Dancing With The Stars opponent David Wirrpanda, who will be strapping on his boots to play for the West Coast OWLS.

Houvardas and Wirrpanda, who both almost made it to the end of the Dancing With The Stars series, may have some unfinished ballroom business to sort out on the footy field.

The Toyota Chris Mainwaring Legends Match will be taking place on Saturday October 8 at Patersons Stadium. Tickets are now available from Ticketmaster: visit www.ticketmaster.com.au or phone 1300 135 915 to secure your spots now.
