The West Coast Eagles are excited to announce the return of ‘We’re Flying High’ as the official club song.
From round one onwards, the Eagles will run through the banner and celebrate victories with the iconic song that has been the soundtrack to unforgettable moments in West Coast’s rich history.
In a recent club poll, almost 90 per cent of members and fans who voted expressed overwhelming support for the return of ‘We’re Flying High’.
“I respect and appreciate that the song was changed with good intentions to reflect the new era at Optus Stadium, and we thank those involved in that process, however there is clearly a deep connection to the previous song which holds a special meaning for our members and fans,” CEO Don Pyke said.
“It’s the right time to bring our previous song back as we embark on our next chapter.”
West Coast Eagles co-captain Oscar Allen said the players will embrace the return of ‘We’re Flying High’.
“As a player, hearing the iconic club song is inspiring,” Allen said.
“It’s a reminder of the legacy we are part of and the incredible support we have from our fans.
“I can’t wait to run out to the song this season and hear it echo through stadiums when we celebrate victories.”
