West Coast will face storied rival Geelong for the first time since last year’s semi-final in a marquee Saturday night timeslot in round nine.
The Eagles will then have a bye, before hosting Carlton and Hawthorn across the next two rounds.
The Eagles have long known they would take on the Cats after squaring up with Geelong’s fellow Perth hub team Collingwood this Sunday.
But on Tuesday the AFL locked in the next fixture block, with West Coast set to host the Cats on Saturday, August 1 at 6.10pm.
It will be prized midfield recruit Tim Kelly’s first game against his former side since the Eagles secured the South Fremantle product during last year’s NAB AFL Trade Period.
The compressed fixture means the Eagles will have a bye in round 10 before facing the Blues on Sunday, August 9 at 1.35pm.
Round 12 will be a huge clash against Hawthorn on Sunday, August 16 at 4.10pm.
Ticketing arrangements for these matches are yet to be finalised; however, the club will email members once information is known.
