Where and when: Metricon Stadium. Saturday, June 27 (11.45am AWST)
TV: Live on Fox Footy, Kayo and the official AFL Live app. Delayed free-to-air telecast on Channel 7 from 2pm AWST
What it means for the Eagles: It’s been a rough restart to season 2020 for West Coast, who have suffered heavy defeats to Gold Coast and Brisbane in rounds two and three. But all is not lost – we've only played three games thus far – and a win against the red hot Power would improve the club’s record to 2-2 and steady the ship ahead of a blockbuster round five encounter with reigning premiers Richmond.
The stat: The Eagles need to muscle up in the clinches if they want to topple the in-form Power at Metricon Stadium tomorrow. West Coast is currently ranked 17th for average contested possessions (108.7), while Port Adelaide are leading the league with an average of 133 hard ball gets per game.
The matchup: Tom Barrass v Charlie Dixon
The intimidating Dixon was at his unstoppable best against the Dockers last week, but Barrass is the perfect matchup for the Power’s key forward. The Claremont product will need some help from the midfield and his fellow defenders to obstruct Dixon’s run at the ball, but he has the speed to keep pace with him and plenty of experience taking down the opposition’s biggest key forwards. If Barrass can limit Dixon’s influence on the game, it will goa long way to helping the Eagles short out the Power.
It’s a big week for: Jack Darling and Lewis Jetta
It’ll be a momentous occasion for the power forward and dynamic defender, who will tick off their 200th senior appearance tomorrow. Darling has raced to the double ton mark after landing at the Eagles via Pick No.26 in the 2010 AFL Draft, while Jetta has reached the milestone in the 11th season of his glittering career. Both players will be determined to make a good fist of it on their big day, with Darling intent on hitting the scoreboard and Jetta focused on stopping the Power fire at the other end of the ground.
Big call: Josh Kennedy hits top gear and boots four pivotal goals
