Hurn, 26, has already played 134 games and is on the restricted free agency list, but did not consider leaving the Eagles nest.

Life membership is an achievable target this year, with qualification set at 150 games, and the man with the most dynamic kick in the game decided to make an early commitment to remain with the club, keeping him on target to be a one-club player.
“You always have to consider your options,” Hurn said. “But I have no intention of going anywhere else, so thought we’d settle things early.
“I enjoy the football club, some of my best mates are here and I think it’s a pretty exciting time for the club.
“Adam Simpson has also come in and there is a good positive message and I want to play my role in the team to make sure we achieve the targets we set ourselves.”
Apart from enjoying his football life at West Coast, one of Hurn’s off-field interests also played a role in him re-committing.
“I like getting back home and going to the farm (in South Australia),” he said with a smile. “But the fishing is pretty good here too.”
Hurn often hits the water with teammates Matt Priddis and Mark LeCras and enjoys the opportunities on offer in the off-season to head to the north of this vast state to test his angling skills.
