WAFL form rewarded
Three of East Perth's star contributors have been included in the team to face Carlton on Saturday
That was again the case when they sat down to select the team to play Carlton in an important showdown at Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
Versatile key position player Jeremy McGovern and ruckman-forward Scott Lycett, East Perth’s star contributors in a four-goal defeat at the hands of Subiaco on Good Friday, have both been included to combat the Blues.
So has another versatile tall player, Will Schofield, who was unlucky to be squeezed out of the line-up after the Geelong defeat a fortnight ago, but someone had to make away for skipper Darren Glass.

With Glass ruled out through suspension, the door was again opened for Schofield to return, while another defender, Xavier Ellis, will be sidelined by a calf strain.
Forward Josh Hill has been left out and will need to work his way back via East Perth.
The selection of McGovern and Lycett further galvanises the policy of the match committee to present opportunities to those who shine in the WAFL.
It was the case a few weeks ago when Brant Colledge made his debut and again last week when Mark Hutchings won back his place in the midfield.
Lycett was a towering beacon up forward and in the ruck for East Perth last week, finishing off his work with five goals, while McGovern clunked eight marks and provided strong rebound out of the back half.
The emergencies were named as Jacob Brennan, Pat McGinnity and Sam Butler, with both Brennan and McGinnity travelling.
