Need a big win against the Blues.
Well folks, Saturday’s game was an absolute cracker. It really felt like a final out there, the boys were just unlucky in the fourth quarter.
My best two picks were Jamie Bennell and Jack Darling. Bennell was brilliant in defence and really took the game on through the midfield, while Jack Darling looked like he could do everything out there, kick goals, take marks and put on big tackles.
I watched the Eagles train this week, with plenty of fans at Tuesday’s open training session and they are looking strong.
As for this weekend against Carlton, it will be a great game in Melbourne at Etihad Stadium. Carlton have struggled early this season, but the coached and the players won’t be underestimating them.
The team will be hoping to kick with more accuracy in round six, to make the most of our chances up front. Expect Josh Kennedy and Darling to kick a bag full of majors on Saturday.
We have won three of our last five games against Carlton so expect a big game as the Eagles look for win number four of the season!
