West Coast legend David Wirrpanda became a cult figure in Western Australian for his on-field prowess over 14 years in Australian football. Retiring in 2009 with 227 games to his name, Wirrpanda was selected in the 2005 All Australian team, became a premiership player in 2006 and is welcomed at the West Coast Eagles as a life member.

Nowadays, Wirrpanda is making his mark on the community.

Formed in 2005, the David Wirrpanda Foundation aims to improve the life outcomes of Indigenous people by providing strong role models and promoting healthy life choices.

From a small charity based in Subiaco, to an organisation reaching children across the country, the David Wirrpanda Foundation continues to grow, delivering a selection of specialised programs tailored to a range of specific stages in life.

In the coming months, the foundation will achieve another milestone, with the official launch of its Victorian office.

To celebrate this historic event, the foundation will host a luncheon at the MCG Members’ Dining Room on Friday, June 22, coinciding with West Coast’s clash with Collingwood the following day.

Hosted by actor and comedian Peter Rowsthorn, this event will include special guests and entertainment, as well as gourmet food and premium beverages in the perfect prelude to this blockbuster match.

Join Wirrpanda and other foundation role models for this special occasion and reserve your tickets to the luncheon today.
