West Coast Eagles AFLW ruck Danika Pisconeri was last night rewarded for her stellar WAFLW season by being named joint winner of the competition’s inaugural Dhara Kerr Fairest and Best Award.

Pisconeri, who signed with the Eagles last month, shared the award with Subiaco teammate Hayley Miller.

The dynamic duo, who worked in tandem throughout the year to help the Lions finish atop the WAFLW ladder, amassed 13 votes each to claim the coveted award.

Pisoneri polled votes in six of her 12 outings this year and earned best-on-ground honours three times.

Two other Eagles polled strongly in the best and fairest count.

Emily Bonser (Claremont) earned nine votes to finish tied for fifth, Beatrice Devlyn (Subiaco) polled eight votes to tie for seventh in the count and Courtney Guard (Subiaco) registered six votes to tie for eighth.

The West Coast Eagles, a major partner of the WAFLW, sponsored the WAFLW Cath Boyce Rookie of the Year Award, which was shared between Claremont’s Jessica Low and Subiaco’s Lindal Rohde.

Swan Districts and East Fremantle will contest the inaugural WAFLW grand final at the home of the Eagles, Mineral Resources Park, on Saturday.

Bouncedown is 2.35pm.

Entry is $5 and kids under 16 get in free.

If you can’t make it to the game, it will be broadcast live on Channel 7.
